Background: The Forum on Philosophy, Engineering & Technology (fPET) is an outgrowth of the Workshop on Philosophy and Engineering. fPET-2010 held an intensive day and a half meeting in May 2010 at Colorado School of Mines. The mission of the Forum is (1) to encourage reflection on engineering, engineers, and technology by philosophers and engineers alike and (2) to build bridges between existing organizations of philosophers and of engineers. fPET-2012 will be held as a three-day meeting on November 2-4 2012 (Friday-Sunday) and hosted by the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.
